Joseph's Story
I enlisted in the Marines out of Ryan and was discharged in 72. after that I got married (#1) had a son then got divorced. I moved to Reno NV and worked as a dealer in 2 different casinos while there married my current wife, we had twin girls in 74.Over the next 40 years I worked for Treasury Dept. a non profit agency for the developmentally disabled (sex offenders) , drove 1.25 million miles as over the road driver , and finished up In a casino in Blackhawk CO. ral NE where I'm trying not to be the village idiot. we moved to our current location to be closer to Medical and other services. I recently lost my best friend and partner of 47 years. The beauty of a small town is I may be lonely but never really alone. With age comes the time to reflect on my life and choices I made. I looked back at my time at Ryan and realized I knew very few of the persons in my class. I know it was because I was not a "joiner" but I was a "loner" who was looking to find his path in life.
