Joseph's Story
Life
Left Heidelberg High in 1982 and went to Junction City High in Junction City, Kansas. Retired from the military and life has been great! Moved to Orlando into a great job in the Program Executive Office for Simulations, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI).
Married going on 23 years with three beautiful and wonderful children. All I can say is I'm truly blessed.
Workplace
After the military I became the DOD's FEMA representative for the state of NC in response to natural and man-made disasters. I worked with State civil authorities, FEMA, Department of Homeland Security, US Northe...Expand for more
rn Command, and lead federal agencies. Great responsibilites but I used that position to relocate to FL. I now work for the Army's Program Executive Office for Simulations, Training, and Instrumentation in Orlando, FL. Either way it was a win-win situation. Now I get to take my children to Disney and SeaWorld, travel the world, and get paid more doing it.
Military
Left HS and while waiting to go to college, I joined the military instead. Spent 20 years and retired. While I was in, I went to Desert Storm. Received many medals while almost getting killed - Bronze Star for valor and Purple Heart.
