Life
Hey all:) Wow, it sucks to be forty. Well, not really I guess. At least I didn't turn out like my parents. Remember how much I used to like to make people laugh and have fun? Still do. My dad never took up mountain biking, snow skiing, and he didn't attend Renaissance Festivals for the womenz and the beer! He did a few skydives in the military but he doesn't have over 1000 under his belt. He also doesn't have two half-marathons and a whole bunch of 10Ks behind him. And he doesn't hit Vegas two to four times a year. Actually,I guess all in all forty isn't bad. But I have to admit, a sixteen hour binge in Vegas is a little harder to recover from than when I was 30 (side note, Dad doesn't need a new liver either). Ok, bad joke. I work for the world's largest chip maker. No, not Frito Lay. Intel. It's the usual 9 to 5. Actually it's 6 to 4. Bu...Expand for more
t I like starting early. Alsways have. And the 50 hour week is actually closer to 45. Anyway, got maried at the age of 23 but it didn't take. Got divorced at 25. No kids and still single. But with the above lifestyle, I don't see a woman ever tollerating me. Hey, but with all the fun I'm having, why stop now? So, I really like mountain biking. One of my frequent stops is Sedona. Great trails. I like jogging but it sucks in the summer. Did you know that at 3:30 AM in July it can still be 95 degrees with a dew point of 65 or 70? Anyone who says that this is a dry heat hasn't felt my arm pits after a run. So in the summer my distance is more for just keeping loose and not having to kill myself as the distances begin to rise in September. The half-marathons are my furthest distances. I'd like to do the whole thing someday. Who knows, maybe this year.
