Joseph's Story
Once Upon time in a little town called Owings Mills on a street called Ritters Lane lived a nut named Joey. I attended Owings Mills Elementary where I had teachers like Miss Kaplan & Mrs. Keyes and my brother Michael had Mrs. Bean as kindergarten teacher. I went to the cub scouts/ weblos with the likes of Scott Stiffler, Tom Clagget, & Donald Gorman and my little buddy Gary Ripper-Aka the lady killer. I remember he had a girlfriend in 6th grade who was the tallest girl in our class and he was the shortest boy. We used to walk home on ritters lane before OMHS was built and catch salamanders(hellbenders) from that little stream. Our mothers friend lived there and her son was Davey Magee who lives in finksburg where my parents now live. There used to be a cornfield on Ritters Lane that still had Deer and wildlife. We bought our first dog a beagle from a girl named Susan who lived on ritters and also attended OMHS. I worked at Jack's Corn off of Mcdonugh road every summer from 1980-1984. Good ole Silver Queen-God I miss corn!! I was good friends with Debbie Price who lived off on tollgate road behind the VFW. I attended Sacred Heart in Glyndon and then Calvert Hall, but was a little wild and transfered to OMHS where I graduated in 1984. I was good friends with Doug Sherman & Kurt Hooper. Dougs mom was the english teach...Expand for more
er. I dated Natasha Kelley. I was friends with wild man Ben Gaines. Remember when he jumped from the bleachers during assembly and pretended he was the lead singer from the WHO swinging his guitar around. I was a straight A student in 1983 and partied out of control in 1984. this resulted in my immenant choice and the most pivotal decision I made in my life. I became one of the few the proud "Semper Fidelis" United States Marine"! I was stationed in southern california; how lucky was that. I met my daughters mother in the corps. She is mexican american, but my daughter looks like pure white bread. Which leads me to pivotal event #2 being a father. Hell yeah!! This is my favorite part. She is 19 now 01/2008 and attending her sophmore year in college at BYU in Utah. I was an aviation electronics specialist on helicopters which pretty much carried me through my work path. I have done plenty of work travel. I was a workaholic. I work in Rockville Md at a very good Bio Company. I love the East Coast and moved back a year and a half ago. My folks are still alive, my brother who calls the phillipines home is also relocating to the Baltimore area with his family wife and 3 kids. I am at a great place in life now. No baggage no hangups and the confidence and drive that the USMC gave to me to this day. etc..........
