Joseph's Story

After Frontier, I went on to SUNY at Buffalo where I got a BA in History, then directly to SUNY at Buffalo Law School, where I got a JD in 1970. I was admitted to practice in Florida in 1970 and New York in 1971. I married Mary Lou Privitera in 1967 (that's her in the photo) and we have two children: Lt. Col. John Tringali, USAF, and Elizabeth Tringali, PA-C. John is married and has two children, ages 13 and 10. We're still waiting for Elizabeth, but she has a very nice Cavapoo (that's a dog). If you're counting, the total at the moment is two grandchildren and one granddog. Mary Lou received her Ph.D. in December of 2010. She's the Victim Advocate for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. I'm an Assistant Attorney General for the Sta...Expand for more
te of Florida. I was elected to three terms on the North Palm Beach Village Council and served one term as Mayor. (Unlike FDR, I did not run for a fourth term, although I would have been unopposed.) I've written two books: "Yachting Customs and Courtesies," which is become the "standard" reference book for yacht club protocol, and "I Was That Baby," about finding my birth family. By the way, I'm not an Italian only child! My birth heritage is Scottish, and I have two sisters and a brother! (This isn't a secret, the book is available all over the Internet.) I got on this site as well as the Frontier Alumni site to stir up some interest for a 50-year reunion next year. Anybody want to sign on to such a project? I'd love to hear from anyone.

Uncle Anthony is looking much better in his red jacket over his brown turtleneck. It isn't what he wore in the real photograph (brown jacket) but it stands out better!
Ever since the County took over the operation of the lock, they've done everything on the cheap. The lockmaster's office is in a converted telephone booth! And his bridge over to the lock was saved from the scrap heap at
Check out my new novel, A Quiet Family Murder, available NOW on Kindle. It's based on a real case that I handled on appeal when I was an Assistant Attorney General. Go to Kindle and ask for it . . . or whatever you do on

I'm trying something new for our burgee display at Palm Beach Sailing Club. I already set aside an area behind the bar for the flags of National, Statewide and Countywide Boating associations that are related to the Club.
