Joseph's Story

Life I am currently a Professor Emeritus of Chemistry at the State University of New York at Buffalo. I received my BS degree from Queens College before going on to the University of Wisconsin to get my PhD. After an NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship at Cornell, I joined the faculty at the University at Buffalo. I served for 7.5 years as Chairman of the Department ...Expand for more
of Chemisty, and another 7.5 years as Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. After that, I spent 1.5 years as Senior Vice Provost in charge of Educational Technology before returning to the Department of Chemistry. I retired in 2003. I am married and have four daughters, two of whom are college teachers of English and two who are physicians.
