Joseph's Story
Life
My life biography? Here? I'll give it a try.
My first memory of school was walking to Mrs. Brown's Kindergarten class at AE Kent School with Tardi Crabb. That's how school began - playing on the swings with the rubber mats ground.
From there it was off to First Grade with Mrs. Ball. I still remember how she could yell at us when we were bad. Clearly her favorite student was Jimmy Carbone, who entered school six months late. We all believed he was the smartest kid in the school. He could read the Dick and Jane stories out loud better than anyone.
And the constant noise coming from the earth moving equipment in back of our building. They were in the process of getting ready to build the Physical Education building for the College of Marin.
One memory that will never fade is the day President Kennedy was assasinated. We were all sitting in Miss Johnson's 2nd Grade class, right around lunchtime, when the principle announced over the intercom system that Kennedy had been shot. I could see from the expression on Miss Johnson's face that something terrible had happened.
We were all sent home a few minutes later.
I left Kent for Marin Country Day School after second grade. The two third grade teachers, Miss Robertson and Mrs Hardy still stick out in my mind as old women that flew to school on broomsticks. F...Expand for more
ortunately my mother saw disaster waiting in the wings and got me out of there.
I returned to Kent two years later and graduated on to Redwood High. Since then, things have been a pretty wild and interesting adventure.
Briefly, I completed a residency in Pediatrics after attending Medical School in Wisconsin. There is nothing more fun than working with kids. And there is nothing more challenging than working in an Emergency Department. I completed a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at Duke University and now live in San Francisco near Fisherman's Warf.
I now have a practice of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. The best of both worlds, if you ask me.
So I am still single (medicine became my mistress - a not so great choice) but I am looking forward still to finding the right one.
What else do I do? I play medical officer for the Plumas County Sheriff, teach Emergency Medical Technicians, and go skiing whenever the snow is good. My dream come true is to study photography at the Ansel Adams Institute in Yosemite.
What else? You'll have to send me an e-mail and I'll let ya know.

College
After the College of Marin, I moved on campus at St. Mary's College in Moraga. Life can sure change when moving away from Marin and onto campus with the Christian Brothers. I'd do all over again in a heart beat.
