Life
Man, I feel in now way perky enough for this, but okay. Lessee. Buncha travel; the U.S., South America, the Appalachian Trail, Hawaii, recently Italy. Lived in Washington DC briefly, two years in Chicago, in and out of Norman OK (in and out of school 3 or 4X). Finally got the art degree and got married to Shannon, '96. Moved to Portland, OR, which has all the things I want in a HOME.
Hana born March 2002...the blonde tornado; the toddler of total annihilation, my favorite person and the spiritual guru I always wanted; proof positive of why we must never give up pushing back the pricks and the power-mad.
I'm pretty sure the novel will never be finished, but I still paint, write, draw cartoons, do occasional tattoos...look for constructive means of subversion both subtle and no...Expand for more
t-quite-so. Work a day job to support the whole scene, but still looking for the creative SCORE. Haven't given up the giddy stupid purple dream of making it on the art. We'll see.
Ah, well, the usual challenges of the working/middle class; keeping all plates spinning, trying to feed and water the relationships. Challenging and complicated; but I'm still reasonably clear-eyed and a decent, if not wholly respectable, dude.
Still into bikes; still into anti-conformity, anti-authority, anti-consumerism, anti-whatever-ya-got. Never have shaken the stuff I learned at the hippie preschool. ...and now Hana is off to her own hippie preschool fer Godsakes.
Well, you get the picture. Not that they haven't tried, but the bastards haven't ground the sauce entirely out yet.
