Josie's Story
Life
Life has been good. I left Avondale at the age of 18 to explore the world and find me. I married at age 22 and began having children at age 23, 27, and 31. I stayed home for 11 years to raise my children. Eventually, I was blessed with an opportunity to work with young children and I loved every minute of it.This led me to my future. I went back to school, and became a preschool teacher. I worked in this position for 15 years.
I am on a new adventure now. I left the classroom studied received my CDL with a passenger certification and now drive a 22 passanger school bus, sub in classrooms on my down time and mentor new staff for our program. If I am not subbing ...Expand for more
or driving I am at City Hall assisting the director, coordinating events for our program or providing safety training for the classrooms.
My children are all grown up now. My oldest is 23, my daughter is 19, and my baby is 15. Only 2 live at home with me, my oldest lives with his father.
I enjoy reading, my music, going dancing and my car. I work out daily and try to stay healthy. My job and my children keep me busy and young at heart.
My sister still lives in Goodyear, and I try and visit and least twice a month.
There is so much more I could share, but thats about it for now. I don't know what is in store for me tomorrow, but for today I'm good.
