Josie's Story
After graduation from Edsel, I went to work for civil service as a steno typist and worked for 3 yrs before settling down with my husband, George, to raise a family (daughter and then a son). George died of cancer when he was 51 (I was 44). I lost my voice (later it was diagnosed as spasmodic dysphonia) and I had to find a way to make a living doing something where I wouldn't have to do a lot of talking (quite...Expand for more
a feat!). I went to work as a housekeeper at an exclusive country club and worked there for 17 yrs before retiring. I talk now but not as well as I'd like. I live in Howell, Mi in a condo with my little 6 lb yorkshire terrier. My daughter lives less than a mile away with her husband and 2 daughters. My son lives in Livonia with his wife and daughter. I enjoy surfing on the computer and learning new things.
