Joy's Story
Life
I moved from Onondaga Hill to North Syracuse in August,'62...the beginning of my sophomore year. Although I graduated in 1965 from NS, I always felt more of a connection to Westhill and kept in touch with many friends, some whom I started school with in'53. I'm happy to say I'm still in touch with many today.
I married Ed Campbell on August 19,'66. We were blessed with three beautiful children: Timothy (Colleen) in Cicero, NY; Jeffrey (Juliet) in Spokane,WA and Amy(Rob)Stults in Beardstown, IL. Two granddaughters in IL.that are our pride and joy...Madelyn (Maddie) born September,'94 and Kathryn(Katie)in January,'96.
Ed was in the Air Force when we married and we lived in California, Japan, and settled in the Syracuse area after his discharge in '68. By then we had our Irish twins! In '72, shortly after our daughter was born, we moved to Minoa. I sold real estate off and on for ...Expand for more

In August,'88 Ed transferred to Eglin AFB, FL working with the government. Shortly after moving, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I have not worked since the diagnosis. I have the relapsing/remitting form, so I have my good days and bad days. But, I feel extremely fortunate that I have a loving husband, family and friends that have helped me keep my cup "half full"!!
Ed retired in 2006 and we moved to San Antonio, FL. We are approximately 25 miles north of Tampa. Now we have time to enjoy traveling, spending as much time as we can with our kids, and just enjoying life! Ed loves to golf, I love to read and we both enjoy watching college and pro football and college basketball. I'm still a huge Yankee fan!! Our dream is to sell some of our property here and buy a summer home in Syracuse!
