Joy Lynn's Story
Life
I didn't actually graduate but grew up in Dawson, left for Austin end of my Junior year. Got my G.E.D. and later graduated from a study-at-home medical transcription course (no longer working food service!-whew!!). Working from home for a med. trascription co. in Tennessee. Married, 1 step-son. Recently stopped leading music at my church to continue as contact person and backup singer for Life Ministries Evangelistic Association (LMEA) started by the late Rev. Not sure what people thought of me in high school. Wasn't really popular.

Wish I'd been more outgoing and made more friends in school, been more involved in extra activities.
Workplace
I work at home, medical transcription. I worked food service for about 8 years and am so glad I decided to finally try something different. Worked for a company that gathers info on people applying for life insurance in Hewitt and did telephone interviews asking a bunch of medical questions for a couple of years. That's how I became interested in medical terminology, then took a home study course and have been working for the same company out of Tennessee from home over the Internet for about 7 years as a medical transcriptionist.
I also still like to sing. I sang in a trio for a few months, worked as the music leader at my church in Elm Mott for a few years but now just continue to sing with Life Ministries with the Burlesons, the Carsons, and my mom. lifeministriesonline "dot" com
