Joy's Story
Well there is a sentence above that says: Who are you really, Joy? First I'll say I'm a child of the King (hey, I'm not talking about Elvis or Michael J.) They were cool, but they didn't create the Universe. That would answer who I feel I really am. Also,I'm married and a very proud parent of two children. My beautiful daughter Natalie is 20, recently returned from college, and is soon to make me a Granna. My brilliant son (sure didn't get it from me) Josh will be 18 around Thanksgiving. He's a High School Senior headed to UGA. He wants a career in medicine. My precious husband Doug and I live on a working cattle farm. We raise beef cattle. He works for the State Of Georgia Agricultural Department. I'm currently at home taking care of my 85 yr old Mom "Ms Opal." She has multiple disabilities. I work at our county senior center. My job is Activities Director. I get payed to play. I live a good life with good family and friends. I'm an active youth leader with our teen program at church. Whooo hoo! Yeah! 4-Twelve Youth you ROCK! See, told ya I've been hanging out with teens. They keep me around since I cut up so much and still l...Expand for more
ike my music loud. Between my family and the church youth it definitely keeps me entertained. We have five horses and I love to ride. I love art, love to draw, paint, and work with pastels. I work hard, play hard, and love mightily. My husband will tell you if I'm quiet.. I'm either sick or something is bad wrong. And to think.. I was semi-shy in High School. I'd like to get reacquainted with people from my High School. My memories are vague, but that doesn't matter to me. I know we were all there together and I'd love to catch up and get to know you again.
The real cornerstone of my life is my faith in Jesus Christ. Without him I'd be lost...literally. I'm only as strong as my faith in him. I thank him daily for the price he paid on the cross and for forgiving my sins with love and mercy. I like to ask people to think about eternity in view of this life... eternity is going to be a longgggg time. I'm so thankful to know where I'll spend it. The world seems so desperate these days and life can turn on a dime. Maybe that knowledge influences why I'm longing so to reconnect.
Thanks for reading my Bio. Hope to talk to you soon!
