Joy's Story

Life I'm still single!!!!!(and loving it) Can you believe it? I think everyone thought I'd be married by the time I was 18 and a half!!! And I never had any children.. its just me and my doggies. After BV I went on to American River and then Sac State. Got a degree in Psychology and then went on to work in the drug and alcohol treatment field. I currently work for the California State Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs where I am a branch manager. Believe it or not, there are three of us BV, Class of 71 "kids" working in my Department and we're one of the smallest departments in State service. Outside of work, I keep myself busy keeping my four dogs happy and healthy. I have been very involved in the rescue and placement of former...Expand for more
racing greyhounds. I also have terriers and have been very active in terrier rescue as well. Overall , I'm happy, healthy and a heck of a lot wiser than I was at BV <grin> but I'm still just as nice and just as crazy. UPDATE: Regarding BO Jarfors I tried to do a profile for my brother but this site won't allow two different names off one compter. I wanted to update anyone from Anchorage High School, who might remember him. Bo died from a brain tumor in 1983, Christmas Day in fact. He was only 42. Bo went into the Navy right after high school and he was going to make a career of it, until he became ill. Bo served two tours in Viet Nam and was very proud of his military duty and his veteran status. Bo never married. I still miss him.
