Joyce's Story
Life
I have a wonderful husband Greg whom I've been married to for 35 years. We worked together in Wauwatosa, WI back in the 80's.Greg got a job transfer and we moved out to New England for 4 years and got married out there. Our daughter Katie and our son Michael were born out there. Greg got transferred with his job again, so we packed up the kids and moved to Illinois. We lived in Oak Forest for 4 years. Our youngest daughter Stephanie was born there. Greg got transferred again, and we had to move to the St. Louis area next. We lived there for 2 years and Greg got transferred once more. Now we're back in Illinois where we've been now for over 25 years. Believe it or not, I loved moving around. It didn't bother me, and I wouldn't mind moving again. We're waiting until Stephanie graduates from high school, and then we'll see what happens.
I'm also glad to announce that I'm a 17 year cancer survivor.
Regarding John Marshall, I would love to see Mr. Beduhn of all the teachers. He had a big heart and was a caring, wonderful teacher. I don't know if he is alive anymore, as I know he had some health issues.
I never did anything wild in school, because I was so quiet and didn't have alot of friends because of it. Joining concert choir and vocal ensemble and being in plays really helped me though. I am very grateful for the friends I made through it. I hope old friends remember me as a nice person and would help anyone out.
If I could do one thing over in school, it would've been to get more involved in activities.

uld be living in the country with my family away from the big city. I'm sick of the rat race.
My hero is my husband, Greg. He was recently diagnosed with cancer. I admire him for his strength and trying to keep me calm throughout our trials. Greg is my best friend and soulmate and I don't know what I would do without him.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Maria Maholias, because she was my best friend in grade school and in 4th grade, she had to move and I never saw her again. I've always wondered where she is living now.
My favorite dogs are Shelties, poodles and border collies
. My dream home would be up in northern Michigan and it would be a huge log cabin style with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, recreation room, 3 car garage, and near a beautiful lake on my very own private property.
My best friend would tell you I'm a loving and caring person, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as standoffish and shy.
My first job was at Captain's Steak Joint in Milwaukee, WI, where I got paid crap to hostess and cocktail waitress. What I remember most about it is the food was great there and I worked with some of my high school friends.
The holidays were always special because my wonderful parents made it that way. We didn't have alot of money, but they always provided for us and they also passed down some great holiday traditions that I have shared with my family now.
Greg and I are so blessed to have a grandson and granddaughter, and another grandson on the way due November 5th. This is what life is all about.
