Joyce's Story
I am living in Poway, CA (San Diego County) with my husband Larry and we have been married for 40 yrs. We have 2 sons, Nathan (38 & his wife Kelli) living in Escondido) and Kyle (35 & his wife Marusha, son Ronin 1 yr.) living in Poway. I was previously married to Bill Gresham (Class of 1965) and he and I divorced in 1973 after having a son, Justin (48 divorced with daughters Morgan, 18 & Riley 15) living in San Diego.
I have been living in San Diego since 1969 after completing 2 yrs. at University of Florida & then completing my degree at UCSD. After my father retired from the Air Force (Norton) he & my mother moved to Florida where they had always maintained their residency (hence why I went to U of F). ...Expand for more
My father died in 1988 & my mother passed away in 2018 at age 97. My younger sister, Maryanne, also lives in San Diego with her husband; my older sister, Gail (Class of 1965), lives in Rockford, IL; & my older brother Bill is in Waco, TX. Just like growing up, we still seem to be all over the map.
Career-wise I worked for Solar Turbines (Caterpillar Company) for almost 30 yrs. & I retired in 2016. I had a great career in Engineering/Configuration Management.
I keep in close touch with Judy Coupland Standley who recently moved from San Bernardino to Orange County with her husband. Pam Elkin Beaumont, Janie (Carolyn) Vega & I have kept in touch since planning our 50th Reunion and try to do frequent lunches.
