Joyce's Story
Wow! It's been 35 years since I said goodbye to Carlson High and 5 years since I last posted an update to my bio. Where does the time go? Since my last update, life has had its ups and downs and I've grown a little older, a little grayer, and hopefully, a little wiser.
I continue to live in Romeo with my amazing husband, Mark, our daughter Rachel and our English Springer Spaniel , Charlie. Our son and his fiance live nearby. We are all reasonably healthy and Mark and I are in remission after our mutual bouts with Cancer. That alone is something to be thankful for. I have continued to work as a therapist at a clinic 2 blocks from my home. It has been great for 13 years but that is about to change. I recently decided to go into business with a colleague and am setting out on my own. With changes in the economy it's a risk but it is one of the things on my bucket list so we will see how it works out. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...

sm. I also travel whenever possible. Most recently I traveled out West to Yellowtone National Park, Mount Rushmore and Bryce Canyon on vacation. I was also in New York in December for the founding of the No Labels movement. and in West Virginia in June for a conference on issues pertinent to aging citizens. It makes life interesting and fun. I've met many interesting people along the way and had the opportunity to do things I had only dreamed of doing back in my days as a student a Carlson. I count myself truly fortunate to have been given the opportunities I've had. .
I hope whoever reads this finds their own lives equally blessed and happy. Drop me a line and let's catch up. I'd love to hear from anyone who remembers me and hear about what has been happening in your life. It's funny how the memories of those teenage years sometimes seem clearer than memories of things that happened more recently.Now I know what my grandparents were talking about when they said that they recalled their past better than their present. Sheesh.. I MUST be getting old!! LOL
