Joyce's Story
*******Life**********
After graduation, I attended Goldey Beacom college until 1983. I earned a degree in accounting and in computer science. Then I moved 'south' to Georgia (all of my family lives here) and became senior systems analyst specializing in hospital adminstration and accounting.
*******Marriage*******
I am married to Eddie Etheridge, who is a kind and giving person. He is currently growing his hair for Locks of Love. He is a very good husband and treats me like a queen. We had 'crushes' on each other when I first moved to GA, but we were both very shy. That all changed and so did the relationship. We were in and out of each others lives for many years. Finally, we found each other and got married on Christmas eve. He is my rock. I just can't imagine my life without him or my kids. I never thought I could love someone until I let my gaurd down and got close to him.

********Work History*********
I have worked for 6 different types of businesses. Mainly hospital programming for the billing systems. I have worked in insurance, methods of accounting and inventory, and manufacturing. So, I have been pretty busy since graduation! It is hard being on-call and being up all night working on programs, but I really do love my job. (Even though there are times I get very little sleep LOL.)
Update - I stopped working a few years ago because I was in a really bad accident. I miss my work, but still advise the hospital I worked at over the phone if they have any questions about the systems I designed. At least I am blessed to be walking and alive. I would rather think of the glass as half full and hope one day with stem cell research I can return to my chosen profession. In the mean time, I can enjoy my kids and husband. My Mom is still living and is a very big part of my life and is a great grandmom.
