Joyce's Story
Life
I attended North Syracuse High for part of freshman year, BHS until 1979 and moved to Massachusetts where I attended and graduated from Waltham High. I have lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for 32 years with my husband. I have two kids (well, adults now), a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law and two grandchildren, a grandson and a granddaughter. I work as a secretary in the counselor's office at a middle school with the Northwest Local School District.
School
Too many schools, just as many memories.
Roxboro Middle School ~ great fun, great friends and great teachers. The only school I attended from beginning to end of the grades 6-8. I especially remember Douglas Powell and how he ate worms and collected the frog legs from science class.
North Syracuse High School ~ not there too long to remember a whole lot.

Waltham High School ~ a few good friends and a few good memories. I remember some of the kids not being terribly welcoming to a newcomer, especially one who came from the deep south with a southern drawl. Never quite felt like I belonged, but I survived and managed to graduate.
Workplace
I now work at Pleasant Run Middle School in the Northwest School District. I love what I do and am in my 21st year.
Military
The best childhood was being raised in the Air Force and moving and experiencing all sorts of things. I've met a lot of great people most of whom I've lost touch with, sadly and I've been to some really great places. I struggled with being a civilian and still do even after 40 years! Most of my best friends were people I met while we were BRATS! Although it has been many years since we've seen each other, I know if I needed them, they would be there for me as I would be for them.
