Joyce's Story
Life
After graduating from Kutztown University in 1968, I taught 6th grade students at Makefield Elelmentary School. I married in 1971 and spent the rest of my teaching career in Phoenixville, PA. I was a high school varsity cheerleading and softball coach, as well as assistant women's basketball coach at Ursinus college. I was also very active in the Phoenixville Area Ed. Association as president and negotiator for teacher contracts. I retired from teaching in 2002.

still a big part of my life. Sadly, I am more spectator than participant. Notre Dame football is sacred to me. I also follow high school sports. I am enjoying the freedom of retirement. Anything is possible.
I remeber going to dances at Manor School every Friday night with Karen Banks.
Nancy Brown is my oldest friend. We met in Mr. Search's fourth grade class at Manor School. I had just moved to Levittown from Boston. Nancy invited me to lunch at her house. Happily we are still enjoying life together ie celebrating birthdays and holidays, shopping, and talking on the phone/computer.
