Joyce's Story
Life
worked in San Antonio at Methodist Hospital in the ER (no, not a nurse, admitting clerk) through the 70's and early 80's. Joined the Navy as a journalist in 1984 and was stationed at the Naval Air Facility north of Detroit. Got out in 1988 and got into radio as a news anchor and co-host in the metro Detroit area. I got out of radio and now have my own business as a legal plan and identity theft broker, focusing on the employee benefits area. However, I still do a lot of TV and radio commercial voice-overs in the area. I have a daughter, now 29 (yikes!!!).
Workplace

. Spent 10 years at Metro Networks as a news and traffic anchor. From 2000-2003 I worked for Infinity Broadcasting as a co-host for a Detroit Jazz station. I have also done TV and radio commercial voice-overs for the last 15 years. Now I work from home, marketing a legal plan and an identity theft plan.
Military
I joined the Navy at 30, looking for a career change. I wanted to be a journalist, and that was the easiest way. I only did one tour (1984-1987) and spent that tour in Public Affairs at NAF Detroit. It was a good move, as it put me in a great market for a radio career when I was discharged. I've been in the Detroit market ever since.
