Joyce's Story

Hi there, when I was in High School I did not have confidence in myself but things change and they did for me. I lived and worked in N.Y.C. where I met my first husband Shlomo who was a pilot for EL AL the Israely Air Lines, We were married and had a son, named Oren. We lived in Israel for several years. and than my husband decided to take an early retirement and we moved back to the states. We were divorced after 14 years of marriage. Oren, my son is a Bond trader in N,Y,C.. I was married once more to Stanley Kroll who was sort of a Wall Street Legend.. He wrote 6 books on the futures markets and one book on the inland waterways of Europe. He was written up in John Trains first book , The Money Masters where at that time he took an early retirement because he made millions for his clients and himself. He lived with his former wife at that time and bought a home on the lake of Geneva in France. That is another story which I will not go into now. Also when I was young and seeing Shlomo I had met Stanley. He was extremely dynamic but I ended up with Shlomo.. So when I divorced Shlomo, and moved back to Manhattan I was working at the Empire State Building in Telecommunications as an acct. Rep. and was canvassing a building and to my disbelief I met Stanley . Seems that he came back from France and built up a company, called Floating Through Europe and he was going through a divorce. It was fabulous, and we got married. We lived on a boat in Manhassit Bay Long Island. The boat was designed to take ocean passages and the top came off ...Expand for more
to do the canals of Europe. Than we had a house Sands Point L.I. on the ocean. Sort of where the Great Gatsby lived. Than Stanley was offered a deal that he could not refuse . We moved to Hong Kong where Stan worked for a few years. He was very well known in Middle and Far East Countries. Stanley was requested by the government of China to help them set up there Futures Markets. So we moved Beijing China and lived in a very large three rooms apt, at the Friendship Hotel that the government provided us with. To give you an idea of how large the hotel was, it had over 100 restaurants and it had beautiful grounds. I will never forget the Albino PeaCocks . I said to Stan, one day, how about adopting one of these baby girls, you know with the one child policy and all and he looked at me like I was out of my mind. He already had three daughters from a former marriage. About a week later he said to me in a large booming voice,'' IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT WEIL DO IT''. As I said, he was incredibly dynamic. After two years we left and bought a place on Ladies Island, S.C. We had Katie our new daughter and were gloriously happy. But life gives you strange twist and turns and poor Stanley died of a Brain bleed. I have managed to raise Katie and she is 23 now and still in college and has a beautiful singing voice, she sings everything from high opera to broadway. I forgot to tell you I am a professional painter and paint portraits for commission. And that is a little bit of my story. OH, AND MY HERO IS BERNIE SANDERS. Sincerely, Joyce
