Joyce Adamiak:  

I met my husband when I was working for an oil and gas company in Charleston in 1980. We married in 1985 and I relocated to Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania (just south of Erie). We relocated to Boston, MA in 1988. I had my first child (Matt) in 1990 and my second (Emily) in 1991. We relocated to Houston in 2003. We are currently living in Seabrook (which is just south of Houston near NASA). Like many of you, my likes and dislikes changed after becoming a parent. My son became interested in ice hockey living in New England and has played now for many years. My daughter is a swimmer. She was on the High School Varsity Swim Team until she injured her shoulder. She now swims, but only for exercise. I am somewhat "obsessed" with what is happening with our Country right now (at least my family and friends think so). I guess you could say that I have become quite conservative in my old age. I have come to the conclusion that I can no longer just sit on the sidelines, I have to be vocal.
