Juan's Story
Life
I went to the UPR right after high school, did a short year at Embry Riddle in Florida, and then went to see the world on Active Duty. I've been in the service ever since, and gotten to do some really interesting things I wouldn't have otherwise had the opportunity to do. I spent a tour in Iraq in 2003-2004 and am currently deployed to Afganistan.
Military
It's been one hell of a ride. I've gone from the Army Reserve in PR to the Florida National Guard, to active duty enlisted in Korea, North Carolina, Italy, Georgia, and Texas...Expand for more
. Warrant Officer Candidate School and Flight School in Alabama and now flying Blackhawk helicopters for the 10th Mountain Division. My awards include the Ranger Tab, Senior Parachutist Badge, Aviator Badge, The Air Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (2), the Army Achievement Medal(3), the Good Conduct Medal (2), National Defense Medal (2), Global War on Terrorism Medal for Service, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the overseas service ribbon(2), the Army Service Ribbon and the Non-Commissioned Officer Development ribbon(2)
