Juanita's Story
Life
I have been living in Chicago for ten years. I have been married for 15 years to Scot and I have a 13 year old son named Douglas.
School
I really enjoyed my years at West Side. I pretty much enjoyed the activities - football and basketball games. I aslo had fun dancing in the surge at all of those parties. My favorite teachr was the late Anner Barnes - English. She really made me work hard.
College
I went to Fisk University my freshman year, however I graduated from Hampton Universit...Expand for more
y in 1986. I then went to State University of New York for my Masters. Both of my dereees were in Political Science. I also attended classes over the years at Carnegie-Mellon; Illinois State University; and Concordia University.
Workplace
I work as a Nationally Certified Teacher at a large High School in Chicago. It is okay, but they don't have the type of school spirit that West Side had. I teach AP US Government and Politics and African American History.
Military
Never been in the military.
