Judi's Story
Life
Hello, not that much is new with me or my family, we all have just gotten a couple years older. My oldest daughter will be 13, and my youngest will be 4, both in September. I still work in Woodland as a Reg. Dental Assistant, in the same office. We still live in Zamora which is just north of Woodland,CA.I am not sure what if anything is planned for the next reunion. I still get online and read the Amador Ledger to get the local news, and My mom is still in the same house there, so I get news from her. The funny thing is Laurel Huffman, now Miranda, lives in Oklahoma, and she calls me to give me the Amador Co. news! I try to get up there when I can, and play tourist. But it always ends up around the holidays, and my family is always in a rush to get home, not much time for visiting. ...........

Well, where do I begin........ I was 19, and not sure what I wanted to do with myself. I had been living in El Sobrante with Jill Smith at her dad's house, Lesli had moved in, and I think I was about half of the way through beauty s...Expand for more
chool in Concord. Les and I answered an add in the paper for the National Guard, and decided it was what we needed to do. Unfortunatly she was a truck driver and I was a medic different training stations. I did basic training in Fort Jackson SC, then on to medic training at Fort Sam Houston,TX. Then after that my unit for Nat.Guard was in San Francisco. Which was too far from Sutter Creek, which is where I moved back to after training. So I got out for a little while, then went back into a Army Reserve training unit in Lathrop,CA. There I worked in the office as a clerk. We would go to basic training units and displace the regular training units, play army for a couple of weeks then back to reality. I did get to go to Korea with my Nat. Guard unit. But most of the traveling I did was to Georgia,South Carolina, and Texas. Back then 85-93, it was the thing for a lost person like myself. I really enjoyed the friendships, and the adventures that I had.You really learn about yourself, and all that you are really capable of when you put forth effort.
