Judith's Story
I feel like I have lived a hundred lives just in this one body...
After graduating from Irvin High in '77, I worked at the UTEP bookstore. I got pregnant with my first child and he was born in August '78. I was mostly a stay at home mom with a weekend side job while my husband was away on deployments. We lasted 12 years together and then I was on my own...with the boys. A. In 93, I survived a brutal attack and moved my boys to WA to stay with their dad to be out of harms way. I eventually moved West also to hide from my attacker. I lived in Portland, OR with some friends before eventually moving to WA where I met my second husband. The boys came back to live with us. In 2003, we moved to Alaska...here I am now. I've had a wide variety of jobs, taken a few college courses here and there, met lots of weird people, had 8 surgerys, struggled at times just to enjoy life, but I keep on getting up everyday and try to make life a little better for those around me. Now I'm 50 and about to start over again...as long as I keep getting up and able to start over, I'm doin' ok.
