To anyone interested in what happened to me after graduation – here is the scoop. I attended California State University Long Beach for a year then decided I was sick of studying and entered the workforce and joined the aerospace industry for 5 years. It was a memorable experience. I met astronauts, the Star Trek crew (yes, Captain Kirk and the whole crew) who was doing a filming at our location, and had the honor of having Robert Kennedy visit our site and give a speech just a couple of days before he was assassinated. Vice President Hubert Humphrey also visited and I told my friend who was going to be escorting him that I wanted a memento for my father who had been a Union organizer for years. To my surprise he presented me with a pair of Vice President of the United States cuff links which I gave to my father. I now keep them as a remembrance of my father and that day. I left the aerospace industry and bounced around for a while working “not so glamourous” jobs. I married during that time and had one daughter.
