Judith's Story
Hi everyone,
Hope you are all happy and healthy. I am back in Virginia, Charlottesville, til July 2014, but this is a temporary arrangement for additional education at UVA. My permanent address is in Louisville, Ky. To go back to 74, after graduating, I attended NOVA and worked for a while, but wanted to travel. I was hired by American Airlines in the late 70s and flew, predominantly to Europe as a flight attendant for over 20 years. During that time I was an athlete on the side, and trained in TaeKwonDo, ultimately the alternate for the 88 olympics as a featherweight. I went back to school (in Texas where I was living) and then through a turn of events went to medical school in 1998, graduating with my MD in 2002. vocate for women's health and hence decided to bite the bullet and get a fellowship in Breast Imaging. that is what I am doing here at UVA.
In my free time, I spend time with my husband and animals, including my 3 horses. I have one of my horses, Dave, an off the track Thoroughbred (OTT TB) down here with me. We practice Dressage together and compete when we can. The picture I have posted is with my mare Dacapria, a hanoverian. I also have a retired OTT TB named Aixa who is my pet, unridable due to injury. She always took care of me, so I am taking care of her. I also have a few cats, but no dogs presently, as work just won't all for it. Maybe in the future I can have one again!
No kids, not in the cards for me which is just fine. Have plenty in my life in other ways though.
