SEE ALL MY DEAR CLASSMATES AT THE REUNION.50 YEARS--OH MY!--Judy Adams (Woods)
1964 graduation I attended George Peabody College until my sophomore year, when i quit and married. Because my (now ex)husband was in the US Air Force.We resided in Lincoln, Nebraska and then in Avellino, Italy.Although I dearly loved the enthusiasm and warm-nature of my Italian neighbors I returned to Tennessee after 1 year. My husband and I purchased a home farm in Wilson County, where I had pet chickens,a pet goat, pet dogs and cats.Love and care for animal-pets abounded. My husband and I mainly bred and raised Appaloosa horses on our farm.I also worked at Town and Country Hardware Store(office managment, bokkeeping,etc) in Donelson.Town and Country Hardware Store was co-owned by my Father,Ernest Adams.
While returning one afternoon from my job in Donelson , I was disabled severly in an automobile accident. After recuperating, my husband and I continued to enjoy our farm life and welcomed in...Expand for more
to our lives an adopted son(Ricky) and daughter(Lisa). During this time I also returned to college at Volunteer State College in Gallatin.
Thirteen apparently is a "red-letter" number (unlucky, lucky, or just eventful?), because after 13 years of marriage my husband and I divorced. I eventually moved back to Nashville. I graduated from Tennessee State University and was employed by The Department of Human Services, State of Tennessee for 16 years.
I am now retired. I currently live in the Inglewood section of Nashville, in an older 1930's home, which I periodically remodel. I have been happily re -married (to William Woods)for 10+ years.I am active in my church(Hobson Methodist), and at the YMCA(Margaret Maddux branch)where I occasionally volunteer and instruct with a genealogy-computer class.
I look forward to re-connecting with and/or visiting with my previous Donelson classmates and friends. We all shared many smiles and tears.---------------------------------->Judy ADAMS
