Judy's Story
2015:
I've been married to my Hubs for 41 years and we have 3 grown children. They are growing our family with children of their own (NINE grandblessings!), and it's wonderful to be a grandma!
After graduating from Columbia, I worked for 2-1/2 years in the Portland area before moving to Arizona where I met and married my Hubs in 1982. We moved to California looking for better opportunities for our life. He joined the US Air Force in 1984, and we lived at Travis AFB, (Fairfield) California from 1984-1994; all 3 of our children were born there.
The Air Force moved us to:
Ramstein AB, Germany 1994-1998
Altus AFB, Oklahoma 1998-1999
Kirtland AFB, (Albuquerque) New Mexico 1999-2003
Rhein-Main AB, Germany 2003-2005
Dyess AFB, Abilene, Texas 2005-2010.
After 26 years, Hubs retired from the Air Force. We...Expand for more
spent 5 months with our youngest daughter in Hawaii, while her Army hubby was deployed. We moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and spent 3 years there while Hubs got his degree in Aviation Technology.
We moved to Honolulu, Hawaii for 1 year, and then Georgetown, Texas.
We are finally settled down in Colorado Springs, Colorado!
Throughout the years, I've done a lot of volunteer work at the various churches we've attended, and schools that our kids attended. I've also worked as a receptionist, administrative assistant, and secretary for various companies. My favorite job was as a secretary at a growing church in Abilene, Texas.
I am currently working as an Executive Administrative Assistant here in Colorado Springs.
We never know where life and the Lord will take us, but it's been a great journey so far!
