Judy's Story
I thought I would reach out and see who was connecting on this website. It's been a while since we had a reunion (that I know of!) and this year is 45 years. Where has the time gone?
Lots of life in 45 years. Married, babies, careers and I am one that doesn't sit still for long. I (and my ex-husband) have done lots of traveling. I'm glad that I traveled when I did. But I'm not done yet.
For those who have been fortunate enough to live through Covid unscathed, be grateful, and pray for all of those families that have lost someone or who have had problems due to their battle with Covid. I am currently living in Royal Oak, MI. I have stayed home working since last March and don't expect to go back (Unless called back for a meeting or lab assignment). ernment. It's a great job and very interesting! I left my hospital job at Oakwood Hospital (Now Beaumont Health Care) in Dearborn in 2000. I finished my Engineering degree in 2003 and went to work for a defense company in August of that year. Anecdotal note: I got divorced and laid off on the same month, June 2014. I went to work at TARDEC shortly after.
Not much else. My daughter struggles with her diabetes and is still working on her degree. Right now she works at Rochester Hills Montessori. She loves it, but it is physically demanding. She is moving in with me in a couple of weeks. Her and her dog. It'll be fine. (Think good thoughts!)
That's it for me. Hope to hear from somebody who remembers me: my smile, my music, and my intellectual pursuits. But I still have things I would like to do. I'm not dead yet.
