Life
My Pets
My tortoise is over 100 pounds, I saved her from a zoo that had abandoned her. She was used to ride kids, now she is retired.(update: When I moved back home, I put the tortoise in a breeding program in Texas)My cat Rocky is 23 years old, I saved him from a gravel road, Thus the name Rocky. (Update: Rocky passed away a year after I moved back home) My Iguannas run wild and eat my Hibiscus flowers (and leaves), My red earred slider turtles, Taripins, and musk turtles live in two ponds in the front yard with a few fish and snails. I have a blue crab living under the shed. There are chemelions and geckoes galore down here, so I feed them, too. (update: I sold my place in Florida and moved home. Fortunately, the new owners wanted the wild life)Peanut is a Parrot, and he has a red beak and a rose ring around his neck. He is a Brilliant green color and talks all day long. I also have 4 cockatiels. I recently sold 2 Malucan Cockatoos, they were too big and too messy. (Update: The birds moved home with me, so I still have them)
My Kids
My oldest, Cheri was born on Hisey's birthday Jan. 2. She was working for trainland. She is an artist and designs the mountains and her signifigant other does the train tracks and together they do the electrical part. She also runs the show. She is anti-drug.(Update, her husband died of brain cancer a few years ago) ...Expand for more
My son Sam, now 22(update, now 29) is a beach bum, surfer, and all around handy guy. He paints (houses) and does construction type work. He lives to smoke a joint and I doubt he will ever give it up.My middle son, Rob is in Colorado. He attends school and is a fantastic guy!
I miss riding on yachts and working on them. I did that in Florida quite often. I drove a UPS truck for money and later had a shop of my own. I sold it before I came back to Ohio, and after 3 direct hits by hurricanes in Florida, I finally sold my place. How I long for it now... Hamilton is a rotten city to move to, I just didn't know it at the time. I'll work on that later. Think a place out in the country would be nice, or West chester or Mason... who knows. I love old houses and antiques. I love a good auction!
Joe and I took care of a lot of people after Hurricane Andrew. We put brand new shoes on every person there, over 300 people. Nike, Rebok, LA Gear and British Knights. Didn't cost a dime, I got the donations and delivered them! It was a wonderful feeling to help so many who were so devistated. I even took tubs of reading glasses to them. Those things had blown away, and well, they needed help, so we provided them with lots of help!
Knowing what to do is so helpful in life. I have found that doing the right thing is most important and the most rewarding.
Never cared much for Principals in school (LOL) but Principles are very important to me. I've sold a business on a handshake (over $100,000. in inventory alone). They never missed a payment. I still believe in honesty.
