Judy's Story
Life
Hi Everyone,
Boy, what a job it is to try to condense the last 40 years of life into a few paragraphs. I guess I'll start with the basics: I met my wonderful husband,Bob, when I was a graduate student and he was a professor (what a cliche'). We have no children but he has two daughters from a previous marriage so I became a grandma the easy way. Also, we have raised a succession of miniature dachshunds over the years (my salute to Germany) so between my career (which I'll discuss later) and the dachsies, I've done a lot of "mothering" even without kids of my own.
I think Miss Rowe would be happy to know that I became...Expand for more
a school counselor in 1971. She really encouraged me in this career and she was right. I love my job and I'm having way too much fun to retire, although I've recently decided to move to the elementary level. I'll be working with 4th, 5th and 6th graders next year. Same pay with no scheduling or other paperwork...which means I'll actually get to use my time working with kids. Hooray!!!
Barbara (Schmick) Edwards and Chris (Hall) Symonds and I are planning to be at the all class reunion in K-Town in October of 2003. I hope to see some of you there and I'd love to hear from any of you.
With lots of fond memories,
Judy
