Arleen's Story
Hello to My Classmates of 1968,
This is what I have been doing after high school:
Upon graduating, I continued working in the medical field and also went to nursing school. I met my husband in 1975 and married him in 1977. At that time, he was in the Navy and we moved to Norfolk,VA. A year later our son was born. I missed CA so much that we moved back and lived in Ventura County. My husband went to San Diego for training and that's when I got the 1st glimpse of that area. We moved to San Diego and lived there for 22 yrs. In 1986, my husband retired from the Navy and took a job with the San Bernardino Community College District and became Director of the SB Sheriff's Academy. In 1994, he retired again. orking in the medical field as a Business Administrator. In 2004, my husband and I retired in the state of PA. We are living in the country. It's so beautiful, green and peaceful here. I am surrounded by the Allegheny Mtns, wildlife and I love the 4 seasons.
I am so fortunate I have a wonderful son and daughter-in-law. My son graduated from Santa Clara University with a law degree while my daughter-in-law graduated from San Jose State with a degree in Geology. With both their careers and busy life we were finally blessed with our 1st grandchild this year. We have an adorable little granddaughter.
I missed the 40th HS reunion and I'm hoping to make the 50th to see all my classmates I have known in school. Beforehand, if you get a chance please drop a note. It would be a pleasure hearing from you.
