Judy's Story
I was born Dec. 26, 1954. Exactly 2 yrs. later my brother was born the same day. My parents went on to have 3 more girls. We were not rich but we had all we wanted or needed. I went to East Houston Ele, Kirby Jr. High then MB Smiley. Graduated 1973. Married Mark Bosley May 4, 1973 just before graduation. My DAD never told me no again!!! I went on to have 3 sons and stayed home like a good little mother. Then in our 10th year of wedded bliss I had had enough. We had one good fight so I kicked him out. That only lasted about a month because my #3 son JON was 18 months old. While staying at my MOM'S, the little turd swallowed a jack. It got caught in him throat. The DRS. could not get it out at Baytown, TX so the next day we were taken to Tx Childrens. They got the jack out in no time. That brought Mark and I back together. At that time I realized I was not gona be a dependant for any man ever again. I started working at my Dad's Manufacturing Shop driving a 1 ton truck and took 2 kids along with me. My #1 son was in first grade. Over the years I would listed to my DAD talk to our customers about what we made. We make rubber products for the oilfield industry. I was one of the first females to enter this area of bussiness. Then in 1986 when the oil crisis was really bad my MOM a...Expand for more
nd DAD walked in the front door and anounced they were retiring and left myself and 4 siblins to run this CO. Things got to where we were ready to close the doors until December of that year one of our biggest customers gave us an order that made us recall 27 of our employees. Things went along well. My parents ended up in Canada, Salmon Fishing. They would can and ship it home to the plant. Everyone enjoyed their retirement. My MOM passed in 1989 of cancer. We all went on to develope in different departments. Things were great! We had all the other strange things happen to us just like most others. Then in 1998 we decided to get out of the bussiness. We voted to sell the company to Stewart and Stevenson. Sandy and myself had fallen ill and just could not shake it. I ended up with diverticulituc and Sandy had developed a pancratic cyst that has given her hell since!!! Our DAD passed on in 1999. We lost Charles in a motorcycle accident in 2002 but before that I was Diagonst with Multipal Scrosis. My youngest son died Dec. 14th, 2009 due to a massive heart attack. He was only 29 yrs. old. He was one of the greatest sons a mother could ever want. I have 7 grand kids now. Two girls one is 13 and one is 7. I have 5 boys, one is 11, then 9, then 7 then, one is 5 and last one is 1.
