Judy's Story
I lived in Brownsville until I graduated in 1962, married high school sweetheart, Doug Crowe (class of '60), right after my graduation, and we moved to Houston. I worked and got my PHT (Putting Hubby Through) while he went to U of H.
I worked until our daughter was born in 1969 and then went back to work when she went to college. I worked for 15 years at the church we attended, then retired/resigned in 2003.
We lived in Houston until 2001, and then moved to Katy (west part of Houston) to be near (1/2 mile) our daughter, her husband, and their 2 daughters (now12 & 17) and so we could be active grandparents.

I enjoyed working with children's choirs at our church for many years, and also being involved with Conversational English for internationals for about 30 years.

died in '79 & '81. Doug's mom moved in with us in 1996 due to health problems and we enjoyed her company until her death the first part of 2010 at the age of 95. She was a delight to be around, and we felt blessed that our daughter and her family were able to visit with her regularly, and that she was able to attend many of the girls' school and sports functions.
Now I am volunteering at our church, at the elementary school that our grand-daughters attended, and singing in a community choir with Doug. I really enjoy being able to attend the girls' activities and being able to help out with transportation, etc. when needed.
I am enjoying this stage of my life, and actually have enjoyed each and every stage of my journey, although I enjoyed some more than others. God has been good to me, for which I am quite thankful.
