Lawrence's Story
I enlisted in the Air Force after H.S. Basic training,Lackland AFB,TX, Tech school Chanute AFB,IL assigned to Malmstrom AFB, MT to maintain Minuteman II &III ICBMs, 72'-86', I was assigned to the MMT shop,TTB/Instructor 76'&81',and VECB/Load Chief 82'. FOT/TEST launches 75',79',80' Vandenberg AFB,CA, Jan 86' Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ for training prior to departing for Florennes AB, Belgium 86'-87' as a missile maintenance/load team chief on the BGM-109 Gryphon, ground launched cruise missile, (GLCM). ...Expand for more
Next assignment was Wueschhiem AS, Germany 87'-90'. I was a TEL crew chief, and FMS ,flight maintenance supervisor, GLCM. Rotated back to the US in Jul 90', Grand Forks AFB ND, as a flight chief /critical task supervisor in MMT. Retirement Oct 91'. Mesa Airlines Feb.93' , Southwest Airlines June 93', Albuquerque NM,Ramp Agent,00' Cabin service support agent. Married June Tabor 5/81, we have two sons, Bryan 30 ,NM Air Guard, David 26,Mesa Security Co. Three grandkids, Becky 13, JJ 8, Dave Jr 4.
