Judy's Story
Life
After graduating from college in 1970 i married a Navy man in 1971 spent 17 years traveling the west coast from Whidbey Isl. NAS in Wa. to San Diego . Spent time in Japan and Singapore just visiting and lived 3 years in Pearl Harbor. After the Navy we moved to his hometown in Ohio raised our 2 daughters and I have 2 grandchildren. My husband past away in Oct 2006 of a massive heart attack. After 35 years of marriage. I am a breast cancer survivor. It has been 5 years. Took 5 months of Chemo and 2 months of radiation and have been cancer free. I work welding vinyl windows i drive about 45 miles one way every day have to keep busy. A year has gone by since I started this and a lot has happened in my life. I lost my job in May 2007 was diagnosed with breast cancer again in August 2007 and I am still having a hard time just getting around. The chemo that I took this time really took a toll on my body. Plus I have arthritis and osteoporosis and have been in physical therapy for the past few months just so I can keep moving. Have had several test done and so far there is no cancer anywhere else so I guess I am lucky for now. I have put a lot of faith in god. My grandson is in his 3rd year of baseball. This year he moved up to the next level and is playing in a different league than his has been. They are doing really well his team is 6-3 not bad for a bunch of 8 year olds
