Judy's Story
Life
Well a lot has happened since I left San Antonio and HHS. I moved to Houston and went to work for Shell Oil Company. I worked for them for almost 5 years. I meet my husband while I was there through a cousin of mine. We have been married since 1969 and have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I haven't worked outside the house for about 3 years now. I still have plenty to do with all my grandchildren . One of my grandaughters is going to go to National Competions in San Antonio for dance in July. We are a very average family and I have enjoyed my life up to this point. Your classmate from 1967

I started work at Shell Oil Company when I came to Houston. I worked in the mailroom,fileroom,gas accounting ,and 2 other departments before I married and stayed home with my daughter and also had a son. They are now 32 a...Expand for more
nd 29 and I worked part time in a number of jobs while they were in school. I thought it necessary to be home with them after school so I tried to arrange my schedule to that end. I hope they appreciated the fact that I wanted to stay home with them and never thought of a career because I had one of being a good Mother. They both work and live away from home and seem to be fairly well ajusted. I have been fortunate to have a husband that agreed with my decision to stay home. We have been married since October 25th 1969 and will be celebrating our 34th anniversary in October. I might add that we are quite different in our personalities. He is quiet and me not so quiet. We have been in the Houston area our whole married life. We do live outside of Houston in a town called Pearland. I have 4 grandchildren that range in age from 15 years old to 4 years old.
