Judy's Story
Well, I'm back in Milwaukee after going away, coming back, going away a couple times more and coming back, probably for good. The last place I lived was Wash DC and that was for 20 years. Nothing exciting like politics took me there - just a job in 1983 when there were no jobs here.
I started at UWM in 1969 and we all know what it was like to be in college then! I sort of dropped out, moved to MIchigan, spend 5 months backpacking in Europe (1972), came back, got married, moved to southern Maryland, got divorced, moved back, when back to...Expand for more
UWM, got an accounting degree, moved to DC, got married, got divorced (again - 2 time loser!!), and finally moved back in 2003. Yikes - that's pretty condenced for 43 years!
I came back to care for my mother, who indeed passed away in 2009 at 92. She had a good, long run.
I am single, live in a single family home in Tosa, have a couple cats, garden like a crazed person and weave like a maniac. I'm currently president of the Wisconsin Handweavers guild and totally love the craft.
Well, that's my story for now and I'm sticking to it!!
