Right after graduating, I attended school at Aurora Tech Center to become a Respiratory Therapist. I moved to St. Paul, Minnesota for about 6 months and worked at St. Johns Hospital. I moved back to Aurora after realizing I was too attached to my family and happy life. I worked at King Soopers for 10 years. I ventured to California with my first husband who graduated in 1974 from Central. We were married a day less than 2 years, bad times.... I wanted to go home but didn't want to be a failure in my parents eyes. I decided to stay in California., ending up in Bodega Bay CA. I met a commercial fisherman and figured out I was a natural! We fished for salmon, crab & herring for 12 years working our way up the Coast and ending up in Crescent City, CA. We got married after a couple of years with marriage ending after 17 years. Parting of the waves so to speak. I stayed in Crescent City. I started my new career working as a correctional officer for the state. I did try marriage one more time, raising two wonderful step sons but have resigned that I am still learning who I am and am just fine!
