Judy's Story
Upon graduation from high school, I attended Jones Business College in Orlando, FL. I then worked at Sperry Rand Electronics Co. in Clearwater for a couple of years prior to getting married. My husband was in the drug business....the retail drug business, that is, so we made several moves during the following years. We moved from Orlando, FL to Macon, GA; from Macon to Tifton, GA; from Tifton to Winter Park, FL; from Winter Park to Eustis, FL; from Eustis to Panama City, FL; from Panama City to Mobile, AL; and then to Dothan, Al, where we have now resided for 30 years. We had two daughters, and each of them had a son and a daughter thus providing us with four grandchildren. Three of our four grandchildren are in college, and the youngest has two more years in high school. Both grandsons are avid hunters and fishermen and are fond of all water sports. is about a 20-minute drive from Dothan. He never turned down a bid so he had work north, east, south, and west of Dothan...a radius of probably 100 to 150 miles in all directions. As for me, I have always had an interest in the medical field and have been fortunate to work with a group of ophthalmologists and also a group of OBGN doctors here in Dothan. I also worked in a local bank at one time. I really enjoyed the one on one contact with the public at each workplace. Recently, I have spent most of my time holding the fort down here at home. Ella, my Italian Greyhound, is such company. She doesn¿t want me out of her sight. Bentley is my Weimaraner and is now 12 years old. Beatrice was his mate, but we lost her after she had given birth to 55 puppies in five litters. We really enjoyed raising the Weimaraners and have puppies scattered as far north as Atlanta, as far south as Tallahassee, and all along the west coast. Now, this is an update on me so let me hear from some of you and what you have been up to during the past few years.
