Judy's Story
I live in Reston, Virginia with my husband, Don and our dogs, Jack and Kiki. We have 2 sons, Danny and James. They are both married. Danny has two children, Casey, 20, and Caleb, 13. Danny has been married to Laura for over 20 years. They live just down the street from us, so we see them often. Casey is now at JMU and is a biology major. She's going to Madagasder in the spring on an expidition. Danny and his family are big time travelers. He just came home from a trip to Gautemala with Casey. When he's not traveling, he teaches science at South Lakes High School in Reston.
James and his family, Angie (his wife of 20 years) and their children, Haley (21), Tay (17) and Elena Grace (15), live in Fredericksburg, Va. It is about 1 hour south of here, so we see them often too. James is also a high school teacher. He teaches English. He also has a band and loves music. His children love music too. voices and have starred in many high school productions. Elena plays the guitar, cello and banjo.
Don was a teacher of English and when he retired from teaching, he began selling real estate. He's retired from that now too. I taught elementary school for 6 years, then started working for Fairfax County in a computer lab.
After we retired we began traveling around the U.S. and Canada. Our favorite places were Savanna and Quebec City. We went up to Vermont often. Went to New Orleans just before Katrina. Now we mainly visit with family and friends around here. And play with our two wonderful senior dogs (both adopted from shelters).
I would love to hear from any of you. I have very fond memories of Lakewood and Lakewood High School. My original family has all passed away, so I've not been to Lakewood in about 14 years. I attended our 20th reunion, but couldn't make the other ones.
