Judy Downey:  

Life I was not very involved in school activities during high school because there were so many church youth activities that occupied my time - early morning Seminary, dance festivals, roadshows, volleyball, dances, service projects, youth conferences, etc. My best friend Kris Bishop and I were practically inseparable during high school. We went just about everywhere together. I attended CR for a year after HS, worked at Ramada Inn for the summer of 1977 and then moved to Provo, Utah to attend BYU with my dear friend Loretta Kirby, driving her Mustang from CA to UT in the Fall of 1977. I did not graduate, but worked and attended various classes over the 5 years total I spent in Provo. In the midst of those years I volunteered 18 months as a missionary for the LDS church in New York and Massachusetts, where I met many wonderful people. I returned to Provo and worked at the hospital for 3 years. In 1984 I had an urge to make a change in my life, so took a job as a nanny for a Hercules executive in Wilmington, DE. Four months later I met my husband at a New Year's Eve party. I have been in the MD/DE area for 24+ years now, raising two daughters. Becca is a gifted writer with a keen intellect.
