Judy's Story
Went to work after graduation. Married in 1971 to Don Reed, and had 2 gorgeous blond boys - Shane and Jared. Lived in Rosemead until 1985.
Moved to Phelan, CA in the high desert. Worked for Snowline school district for 10 years, co-directed 5 beauty pageants for 10 years, elected treasurer Phelan Chamber of Commerce 8 years in a row, publicity chairman for Phelan Elementary School, wrote a column for the Mountaineer Progress Newspaper for 10 years.
Don and I divorced in 1991. I kept the house in Phelan, and went to work for Hesperia School District.
Shane entered the US Army in June, 1991 and went ...Expand for more
to Fort Knox Kentucky. He was stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas. He brought his Kansas bride home in 1993. Their first child was born in 1995.
My sweet Jared was killed in an auto accident in March, 1996. Big hole still in my heart.
Shane moved out of state, divorced, and remarried. Now lives in Joplin, Missouri with his wife, Julie and 8 kids; Chelcy, Scott, Darren, Brandon, Hailey, Emily, Katy, and Alex. He is still in Army Reserves, and has deployed to Iraq twice. His family is a great joy in my life.
I married Jim Cresswell in 1998 and I moved to Redlands, CA.
Just retired in May 2009. Now what?
