Judy (Marie)'s Story
I've been living in Utah for almost 21 years.. the same amount of time I lived in PA. I love the west and I'm sure I'll be here all my life. I'm not Mormon, I'm not someone's 17th wife, and I don't dress in "Prairie Fabulous".
After BAHS, I attended Clarion University for one disastrous year. Then DuBois Business College for a (somewhat less distressing, but equally wasteful) year. After dating a boy from a nice Mormon family, I was easily lured into that church and that way of life and shortly thereafter, I moved to Utah and haven't lived anywhere else since.
Although the Mormon thing didn't work out, (I hold no grudges) the Utah thing did. I love Salt Lake City; the sky is almost always ...Expand for more
blue, and the mountains are breathtaking. I DO miss fall in Pennsylvania - it's just not the same here. Utahns think they know what a good pile of leaves are, but really, it's just sad.
I have a 6'4, 17-year-old son who's an Honors Student (takes after his Dad-heh), Boy Scout, and an all around good kid. (no, really).
I also have a 37-inch tall, 3-year-old who is quite possibly the reincarnation of Evil Knievel. His current hero and idol is the arch villian, "Plankton" from Spongebob Squarepants.
After two failed marriages, I am married to the love of my life.
Most of my days are spent chasing the little guy and cleaning a never-clean house. Can't imagine where else I'd rather be.
