Juhli's Story
My family moved from Yorkton to Vancouver in 1964, after I gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Tracey. My parents believed I (and Larry) were too young and naive to raise a child. Looking back, they were probably right.
Tracey and I met when she was 20. Though we both carry a sense of loss, we have become great friends over the last 35 years.
I married in 1967, had two daughters (Michelle and Marti) by Merv, then in 1978, after our divorce, I changed my name from Mary Brien to Juhli Farrell. I had this crazy idea, if I changed my name, I could change my life for the better. It worked! 😊

I met Glen in 1989. He was a teacher at Mountain Secondary. In 1995, we got married, the same year Michelle and Marti married. I retired in 2006 and so did Glen.
In 2018 Glen and I moved to Vancouver Island. We love Sidney. I feel like I'm living in a retirement village located half way to heaven. The town welcoming sign reads, Sidney by the Sea. Lochside Drive has spectacular views of the Gulf and San Juan Islands. A ferry ride to the mainland is only 10 minutes away.
I love to garden and read; hang out with my daughters, grandchildren and friends; hike and explore the beauty of BC; walk along the seashore; and cuddle with my husband (not necessarily in that order). All is good!
