Life
Hey guys,,
Another Update-April 17,2023. All SLE Lupus and Rheumatolgy disorders in remission! I changed my diet and seldom eat processed foods. No soda at all except the occasional ginger ale if I’m sick. I’m walking without my walker every day at the house, post office, and riding stable.. I use my walker for drs and haven’t had to use my wheelchair for 6 months! I’m working hard to keep my body and mind fit. I got to ride a horse again last week! Super ready to go again and it helped me stretch so much! Horses have always been my thing. I’ve lost 23 lbs and have about that much to go. We don’t have to grow up and out. We can age gracefully! I’ll personally never grow up. I am on FB, and I post quotes and jokes ( many off-color) because people simply don’t laugh enough. Life is good!
Update-My infusions for the SLE Lupus are working. I’m using a regular wheelchair to go out, but I’m walking inside my house without even a walker. I’m truly blessed and always have been. I am so thankful and I keep saying “Maybe I’ll be the first person to beat Lupus!! My motto-Never give up-Never stop smiling!
Live, peace, and hugs.
Well it's happened. I am in an electric wheelchair and the doctors say it's permanent. I see both a neurologist and neuromuscular neurologist. They both say I'll be in it for life. I don't necessarily believe that as they are NOT God lol. I can still walk about 20 feet around with a walker. I'm not giving up and I'm ...Expand for more
so blessed. I got a wheelchair van although it's a 2000 and needs a lot of work. So blessed!! Life is good and I am still a very positive lady. I am currently still working on my biography and an inspirational journal. I still do the scenic photos I love so much. I am living with many disabilities due to a benign brain tumor in 1993, among many other issues, but I still try to live a full, happy life. The drs misdiagnosed me. I have SLE Lupus, Sjogrens Disease, & Adrenal Insufficiency just a few of my ills. My spine is just gone from my neck down. You get what you get in life and thank the good Lord you are still alive. That's my belief anyway. I truly am blessed and I know it. I am never moving away from here unless I go tropical. The ocean has always been my love and is just in my soul. The peace and serenity here are awesome! I am not currently a paid member, but that will change soon. I am on Facebook as myself.
My motto is Never Give Up-Never Stop Smiling. I attended Piedmont into the middle to latter part of my Senior year then my father made us move. My brother is 1 year younger and is John. I knew a lot of his friends. My sister was Deborah and she was a year older. I knew a lot of her friends too. Also, I dated a senior so I knew a lot of seniors as well. I was so upset to move. It truly messed up my life, but I continually work on myself and just count this as a life experience.
Have a beautiful day!
Love and hugs,
Julia
