Julia's Story
Life

School
Man, I hate this question on resume's! One of my notable Kindergarten classmates was the Olympic ski champion and 'Suzy Chapstick girl' Pikabo Street. OH! Ms. Mimi, I did NOT talk in class. It was the boy next to me! I want my ice cream you denied me. I went to Kihei Elementary 'till 4th grade in Maui HA just as they opened their new building and Shiroma was running for governor. I think I am taller than every teacher I had there now. They taught me life lessons like what being treated as an unwanted minority is like, Ukulele, and poi ball, and hula.
I went to Quail Hollow Elem. for 5th grade and learned that girls are told not to be drummers and play with cars. PPPPBBBT! I also learned how animation works so, thanks for that.
In 6th grade, Boulder Creek Elem., Mr. Whiteman was one of the best teachers I have ever had and got where I was coming from. He should be a professor somewhere. Oh, yeah, he IS!
I went to SLV Jr. High and got chased out by the kids for talking to trees and animals because they decided I was a witch and threw soda and gravel at me asking why I flinched. All the teachers there rock! They listen and try hard to teach more than just the curriculum. They make great people not just great students. I also miss Fall Creek trail which is the most peaceful place I've ever been and is a unique track to run on.
SLV High was only a year (9th) out of my life but so much happened and the kids still had a big impact on my life. Joined The Natural Philosophers Science Club even though I never took Science. A great experience!

cially demanding school and NO, I was not a '21 jump street' kid or a robot doll. I had an overbearing boyfriend then, that made it hard to form any relationships. But, you know how love can blind you by now. I really miss most of those teachers and wish them the best.
I also spent some time at Loma Prieta to earn points for my graduation, since I'd skipped out on Chemistry. It was fun and I hope those guys made it. I never had a class I didn't learn something from though it might not have been the subject typed on my schedule.
College
It was a sad place. I never got to finish. What with earthquakes, and child rearing, and lots of deaths in the family happening at that time. I still have 1/2 a semester left for my AA. Maybe I'll go back and get it someday. While I was still in High School, I started going to Cabrillo & in most counts, it was a joke to attend. I did appreciate my art teachers, who really do try, and my psychology teachers who tried to help me socially. I went to Heald, but not as a student, more as an evesdropper, for a whole semester. I recommend it if you have a couple of thousand dollars extra to learn electronics or typing. I didn't. Also it's a gorgeous campus. In all, it's been an interesting ride.
Workplace
Your best bet, if you are really interested in all the stuff I can do, is go to my homepage and look at the resume on there. But it never lists all the random stuff I did without pay. Like gogo dancing at the Blue or being an image consultant, being married to a geek, or playing band groupie. If you can think of it and it doesn't involve killing something or nuclear science I probably have tried it for a while. Actually, a little of that too. E-mail and ask. I'm stay-at-home mostly, now, though.
married with 2 kids. moved out to Colorado. same old chik but a bit grouchier.
